Bringing fall into your home is easy. It just means layering in elements of nature, cozy textures and rustic colors with what you already own.

Dressing up your home for autumn is easier than you think. It's mostly about weaving in natural elements and rustic colors. I'll share my top 11 ways to add fall to my home, and you'll be enjoying a cozy space that feels like football, family and fun in no time!
I hope this round-up gets your creative juices flowing. And when decorating for the seasons, always shop your house first! Try old items in unexpected ways. For instance, I had everything on my mantel except the faux pumpkin and the pinecone filler, which cost me about $7 at Hobby Lobby. Bringing fall into your home doesn't have to be expensive!
And you'll want to follow my Fall Decor board on Pinterest. I've been pinning fall inspiration like crazy and will keep it going. So stay inspired!
Happy Fall, y’all!

Simple Fall Decorations for Home
1. Pumpkins!
Let's start with the obvious way to add fall to your home. These gorgeous members of the squash family are simply beautiful. I love them stacked, piled up or nestled into a bed of fall foliage. I'm not picky.

I absolutely love a Cinderella pumpkin, the blue-ish ones. And white pumpkins are gorgeous too! I don't discriminate between faux and real pumpkins. Over the years my faux pumpkin collection has grown, and I love being able to reuse them every year!

I still love an orange pumpkin for a jack-o'-lantern!
I've now added faux outdoor pumpkins to my front porch, and I love reusing them every year. The initial investment has paid off, and there are no more rotten pumpkins before Halloween!

2. Apples
What better way to decorate for fall than with the delicious apple? Fall means all things apple: apple cider, apple pie, apple muffins, apple cake, apple butter (!!), candied apples and more! Are you getting hungry yet??

I just popped over to Pinterest and started pinning apple recipes, because tomorrow I'm heading to the store to make something delicious. Ha!

But sometimes a bowl of apples (or caramel apples) is the perfect way to add a subtle touch of fall.
3. Chalkboards
I love the chalky black look with lettering all the time, but especially in the fall. It reminds me of Halloween, and the richness of the black suits a warmer palette like autumn.

4. The Outdoors! Pinecones, Acorns, Leaves + more!
You don't have to keep the leaves and sticks outside this fall. Grab some pinecones, acorns and leaves for free decor that makes a real impact!

If you don't have leafy branches in your backyard, you can always buy some pretty fall leaf stems!

Add acorns and pinecones to a bowl for a simple, budget-friendly fall touch!

5. Burlap
This nubby, farmhouse-textured fabric is always a great addition to the home in fall. Whether you use it for a wreath, a table runner or just tuck it into your decor, burlap is a perfect choice for the season.

6. Mums
These gorgeous potted plants get their own category because they're the fall "flower". Or more like a flowering bush... what exactly are they? Either way, they look gorgeous inside or outside. Definitely pick some up this season, even if all you do is set them by the front door, like I do!

7. Sticks, Twigs & Stumps
I know this one could fit under bringing the outside in, but I felt sticks deserved their own category. I love how Liz Marie decorated her buffet with larger sticks in vases. So cute and inexpensive!

8. Pillows!
As always, a seasonal throw pillow is a good idea. There are so many adorable pillows with fall sentiments or pumpkins, at every price point!

And they don't have to be super fall-themed. You can choose a saying about gratitude that you can display all year, or simply pick a pattern in warm tones. I love, love, love navy and dark greens! I like to bring them out more in fall and winter.
9. Mercury Glass
Mercury glass used to be all the rage, but I think it still has a place in fall and winter. I love a good mercury glass candle holder. It reminds me of twinkly lights and stars.

10. Galvanized Metals
If you like the metal look but aren't into sparkly mercury glass, try galvanized metal. It's so popular in farmhouse decor these days that it's easy to find.

Try some large olive baskets or a cute galvanized tray filled with pumpkins.

11. Books
Last but not least, these lovely books can add so much interest to a fall vignette or mantel display. Many have warm-colored covers that suit fall perfectly, and you can often find them cheap at thrift stores. Or you might find them in your grandma's old bookcase.

Those are just a few small ways to add a little something to your seasonal decor. I love that it can be so inexpensive and easy to decorate for fall!
