Make this adorable fall chalkboard art to get your home ready for pumpkin spice season! It’s easy and free!
One feature of my home I adore is my huge DIY chalkboard in the eat-in kitchen. I love that one large wall can hold a decor piece I can swap out easily for every season or whim.
I’ll admit I kept my spring chalkboard up until the first week of school, when I changed it for Miss A’s first-day-of-school picture. Then it was time to switch things up for fall!

Favorite Things About Fall
I love the simplicity of this season’s new chalkboard art. It puts me in the mood for …
Sweaters and socks …
… Lattes and soups
Football and bonfires …
S’mores and apple cider…

… Family & Friends
Hayrides and pumpkin patches …
Jeans and flannel …
… gratitude and cool weather

I could go on and on. Have I mentioned that this is my favorite season? Well, I truly love spring too. I think I change my mind every six months, depending on whether it’s spring or fall. Haha!
Check back with me in half a year, but today my favorite is fall. The break from the hot summer (I live in Alabama, so it’s super hot and humid) gives way to crisp, cool air, a return to routine, football season, and everything leading up to the holidays. I adore it every year!

Every time I see a leaf drift to the ground, it’s a little hint that fall is on its way. There was even a cool, dry breeze this evening (though the rest of the week is forecast to hit the 90s. Ugh!).
I can’t wait for the leaves to turn, and to look out my back window at all the color splashed across the mountainside.
