This sweet, whimsical woodland nursery inspiration board for a baby girl is both adorable and fun! I love the mix of blue, pink and yellow with natural, outdoorsy touches!

Happy Monday, friends!! Maybe you’re like me, but we had fall break last week, which meant Coach and Miss A were home all week. I love spending time with my family, but I’ve mentioned before that I thrive on routine and a schedule. So this morning was a welcome relief when everyone returned to the regular schedule!

I’ve been eager to share my inspiration board for the sweet baby girl who arrives in just a couple of months! It’s high time I nailed down my ideas so I can start getting her room ready. Eek!

This board took months to put together, since I followed my own advice on how to start a room makeover. I figured out the essentials first: a crib, a dresser/changing table, and a rocking chair/ottoman. Those are the basic staples of any nursery, and everything after that is the fun part!

I wanted a sweet, colorful, whimsical woodland theme. Coach is an avid hunter and outdoors lover, and since we don’t have a son yet, I thought an outdoorsy room would be a fun nod to him from his daughter.

To be honest, he doesn’t really care, but in my mind it’s a cute connection to her daddy. You know, just keepin’ it real.

Then I started researching the items I loved for my room and set up a secret Pinterest board. I’ll probably make it public soon, now that I’ve shared my ideas here. A few other pins didn’t make it onto my inspiration board, so you might want to see those too!

My first inspiration came from two adorable prints by Lay Baby Lay (deer & mouse print | raccoon & armadillo print). Her nursery boards are always a huge source of ideas. I just LOVE these two prints.

I also really love the Restoration Hardware baby line, but I’m not about to spend that kind of money on new furniture when I already have some. I’m going to try painting Miss A’s old crib and dresser to get the RH finish look. We’ll see how far I get before she arrives. I’d better get on that! You can bet there will be a tutorial when it happens!

We already have a glider for rocking and feeding the new baby, but I really want one of these Best Storytime Chairs. They are so comfy, and they transition into an adult living space once the baby outgrows the rocking chair phase. I’m thinking we’ll get one and keep the new one in the bedroom and the old one in the living room for now. We’ll see! I’d better save my pennies, huh? Or maybe I’ll ask for it for Christmas!
