Don't put up with a cluttered linen closet. Collect linen closet organizing tips from leading organizing bloggers!
A linen closet is a curious thing. It's probably the smallest closet in your whole home, which makes it the ideal place to start an organizing project.
You'll likely finish linen closet organizing in a day or less, and you can probably do it for free or on a small budget.

My home has one tiny linen closet in the primary bathroom. Our second bathroom only has under-cabinet storage, so the primary bath closet does a lot of heavy lifting around here.
We've since moved into a new home with a couple more closets. I'll share them soon!

Linen Closet Organizing Ideas
I gathered some wonderful closet ideas to see how others keep their linen closets under control. Here's how to organize a linen closet, according to some of my favorite bloggers!
1. Organize With Pretty Baskets
This pretty-in-pink linen closet from A Beautiful Mess is one of my favorites. It's packed with functional storage yet still looks lovely. You can recreate the look with a few of these super cute blush pink baskets (similar baskets). Another trick from this closet is keeping smaller items together in see-through bins, and labeling everything!

No linen closet? No problem! If this post has you feeling a little left out, don't worry, you haven't been forgotten!
2. Turn a Wardrobe Into a Linen Closet
This beautiful example from A Bowl Full of Lemons shows how easily a wardrobe can serve as a linen closet in any room, and how to keep it organized. Whether or not you have a linen closet, similar baskets can help corral your items.

3. Matching Baskets Make a Space Beautiful
Linen closet organizing has never looked so good as when linens sit neatly in gray baskets with pretty labels, like this space from A Thoughtful Place.

I also love how she styled the open shelf. The glass vase with gold leaf (similar here) and the framed leaf prints keep the whole space clean and modern. You can grab a similar art piece to recreate the look.
4. Glass Jars and Wire Baskets
Lauren from Bless'er House fills her closet with some of my favorite things: glass containers, wire baskets, and stacks of fluffy, pristine white towels. If you're great at folding linens (those fitted sheets!), try recreating this look while you organize your own closet.

I also love how she set up her supplies and poured her small items into jars. To recreate the look, grab a galvanized cleaning caddy and some glass storage jars so you can see everything at a glance.
5. Organize a Linen Closet With Supplies You Already Have
If you've been wondering how to organize a linen closet without buying any supplies, this post from The Sunny Side Up is a great starting point. I love how real this closet looks, with just a stack of folded linens, towels, beach towels, and sheet sets. If you feel inclined, follow her lead and add a few bins of supplies up top.

6. Over the Door Storage Solutions
This project from Be My Guest With Denise is a great option if you need to store both cleaning supplies and linens in a small space.

If her setup intrigues you, try a similar look with an over-the-door rack behind the door. Add a round laundry hamper and a small shelf with a top to keep your linen closet easy to organize!
7. Corral Toilet Paper in a Large Fabric Bin
This gorgeous linen closet from Sarah Joy Blog is exactly the inspiration you need for your own project. I love the mix of storage bins and folded towels, plus that beautiful bin for corralling toilet paper.

8. Keep Things Out of Sight With Lids
Another inspiring idea for organizing a linen closet is this beautiful space from Blue I Style. She put the look together using only IKEA supplies. There are also good options on Amazon if an IKEA trip is out of reach (or just sounds exhausting). Find similar boxes with lids here.

9. Clear Bins Keep Small Items Organized
The Creativity Exchange did a fantastic job organizing this linen closet. To get the same neat look, you'll need a lidded plastic bin plus a few bins without lids.
Keep your backup toiletries in clear bins where you can spot and grab them easily!

And if you want to add a stack of super fluffy white bath towels, that's not a bad idea either.
10. Keep Seasonal Items Up Top
Looking for linen closet organizing ideas? Simplicity in the South fills this space with practical ideas and pretty finishes.
She makes the most of vertical space by storing less-used pillows, blankets, and bedding sets on the top shelf! I hadn't thought of using shelf dividers, but I just ordered some for my closet. Brilliant! (Grab these shelf dividers if you have wire shelves!)

It's also smart to use the back of the closet door for an ironing board hanger!
11. Baskets With Labels
A simple, pretty way to organize a linen closet from Clean Mama! She shows just how much difference a basket can make. Grab some dark brown baskets and labeled black tags, and you're all set.

12. Group Similar Items Together
This post from Happy Family Blog is full of linen closet organizing tips. She starts by clearing out all the unnecessary extras, then groups like items together.
Her method of rolling hand towels and washcloths and storing them in magazine holders is totally brilliant!

13. Pretty Details That Feel Like a Spa
There's something special about this linen closet project from the blog From Great Beginnings. It reminds me of a spa. Grab baskets like the ones she uses and tuck everything in neatly.

14. Maximize Shelf Space
Last but certainly not least is this beautiful linen closet from Remodelaholic. I love the neatly labeled bins and boxes. And using shelf space well by stacking lidded bins is genius!
Plus, I really want to order a back-of-the-door organizer with adjustable shelves like this one now!

Phew! Don't you just feel like emptying your linen closet, buying some bins, and getting to work? Which of these linen closet organizing projects is your favorite?
