Easter bunny crispy treats are delightful, delicious and quick to whip up. With their fluffy “cotton” tails, these little bunnies are so darling that children will devour them!
I’m stepping away from my little girls’ rooms posts this week. I’m not pausing the actual work, just the blogging about it.
I figured a cute Easter treat would be a fun thing to share. We finally got our first gorgeous spring day this weekend, and it was wonderful! Sunshine, blue skies and 70 degrees. Bliss.

With Easter only a few weeks off, I thought bunny-shaped crispy treats would be a fun project for Miss A and me to make (and eat!) together. She adored them. They’d be a great pick for a kids’ Easter party or just a fun day at home!

Here’s what you’ll need:
1. One batch of Rice Krispies Treats®
2. Bunny-shaped cookie cutter
3. Icing (this is one of my go-to recipes)
4. Food coloring
5. Piping bags or freezer bags
6. Optional: lollipop sticks
Steps for Making the Bunny Treats

I mixed a batch of Rice Krispies Treats® following the directions on the cereal box and let them set.

Next I cut out the bunnies and their tails using my new, charming bunny cutter and a fluffy tail-shaped one.
I tinted some decorating icing with food coloring. I usually make my own, but since time was short I grabbed a tub from the store. Trust me, homemade wins every time. Still, this did the job in a pinch.

I thinned the store-bought icing slightly with warm water, then loaded my improvised piping bags. They’re really freezer bags with a small corner snipped off and masking tape wrapped around the tip to hold it in place.
A handy tip for icing cookies when you don’t own all the fancy tools.
I cut out the “tails,” iced them, and pressed them onto the bunny’s bottom. After piping the icing, I smoothed it over both the bunnies and the tails with a toothpick.

I pushed the bunnies onto lollipop sticks, thinking a crispy bunny on a stick would be a cute idea.
They looked sweet, but they weren’t very practical. The bunnies kept sliding off the sticks. So if you try this at home, I’d skip the sticks and simply serve them on a tray.
They’ll be just as cute and just as tasty.
