This tissue paper stained glass craft is so charming and easy for Valentine’s Day!
I’m a mom of two little girls, so the need for a fun kids craft comes up now and then. I’m a room mom in Kindergarten this year, so these kid-friendly crafts really come in handy.

My girls both love it when I make something for them to do at home. So, I hope you can use this idea too, with a child, grandchild or friend!
What You’ll Need for a Tissue Paper Stained Glass Craft
- Tissue Paper (any colors you like)
- Single-Sided Laminating Sheets or a laminator. If using laminating sheets, you’ll need 2 sheets per project
- Cutter such as a Silhouette, or a template and scissors
- Heart outline cut file from The Silhouette Design Store (some can be found here and here)
- Scissors (craft scissors if kids will be doing this part)
- Hole punch
- String or ribbon

How to Make a Tissue Paper Stained Glass Craft
1. Cut Out Heart Shapes. You’ll need one heart for each project you plan to make.

2. Cut the Tissue Paper. Choose the colors you want, then cut the tissue paper into small squares.
3. Peel off the backing of one single-sided laminating sheet and set the heart outline on top of it.
4. Sprinkle the tissue paper in the center of the heart. The laminating sheet is sticky, so it will hold the tissue paper in place. If the kids are doing this part, some tissue may land outside the heart outline, and that’s OK! Resist the urge to make it perfect and let them get creative.

5. Lay the second laminating sheet on top of the first one.
6. Cut around the heart, leaving a border between the edge of the heart and your cut line. This helps keep the laminating sheets in place.
7. Punch a hole at the top and hang it in a window with ribbon or string! We used a simple suction hook on the window, but tape works just as well!

Optional: Write something like “I Love You to Pieces” on it for a fun little note to the recipient.
Your kiddos will adore this simple project. We’re making these in Miss A’s classroom this week!
