Pull together your old and new spring decor, plus some lovely fauxtanicals, to dress up your table!

Spring Tablescape 2019

I love decorating my dining room table with fresh signs of the new season, especially this one, because flowers! While planning this spring, I realized I’m totally hooked on what we call “faux”tanicals around here. They’re the number one thing I buy every spring, because, well... I have a terrible black thumb.

But I love finding new, creative ways to style a tabletop with my faux-tanicals, so if you love that too, you’re in luck today!

We’re hosting supper club at our house in a couple of weeks, so I’m glad I worked out my setup now instead of at the last minute. I won’t be keeping big floral arrangements in the middle of the table while we eat, though. That space will be filled with delicious food instead!

P.S. If you have a fabulous dish that would be perfect for supper club, please share it in the comments!

I started with the turquoise blue vase (similar) in the center of the table. I’ve been eyeing vases like it for years, so when I spotted this one last week, I grabbed it right away!

My stash of faux spring florals is enormous, but that didn’t stop me from hunting for the perfect new stems! I found them at a local home store, so unfortunately I don’t have a link. They look so lifelike, and I love them!

Once I had the arrangement just right, I realized it looked silly in my blue vase because the stems only reached about halfway down. So I needed something to hide the bottom half of the vase!

Enter the basket.

I love it when I can reuse something already in my decor stash. It hides the bottom of the vase and adds interest and texture to the table, so it’s a win-win!

Two buckets of faux boxwood greenery in white buckets (similar) made their way into my basket a couple of weeks ago. You can never go wrong with a bucket of greenery!

My white plates are among my favorite things ever, since they go with anything and every season! I will admit they were cheap, and after about five years they’re starting to chip.

Maybe for our 10th anniversary this year we’ll invest in some nicer white dishes. White dishes are classic, and I’d tell my about-to-be-married self a decade ago to just go with plain white! (I started with brown and turquoise dishes that were nice, but I didn’t love them after the first year. Womp, womp.)

The water hyacinth placemats are another staple in my decor stash that work with every season! I especially love their color and texture for spring & summer.

Hearth and Home with Magnolia Cake Stand - the best!

I bought the cake stand at Christmas.

I bought these adorable blue and sage ball pom napkins at Hobby Lobby last year, and they’re the perfect spring touch for the table. They brought them back this year, which makes me so happy, because they sold out so quickly last year.

The pink bunny juice glasses were a great find at HomeGoods. I couldn’t find an exact match online, but I found similar ones here and here. My girls absolutely love drinking from their fancy bunny cups now.

I love, love, love this pillow with the flower truck on it. It’s a classic spring image in two of my favorite colors: blush and navy!

My husband just walked by and asked, “What are you trying to say, putting a wooden egg and a bunch of weeds at every plate?!” Ha! Men.

Spring Tablescape 2019

It’s called decor, honey. Nobody has to eat the wooden egg or the weeds. Although I thought the faux eucalyptus with berry bundles looked really cute on each plate!

Behind the table you’ll see my large console (DIY tutorial here), which I built a couple of years ago. It was by far my biggest build, but very doable. I love how well it works for storing some of my seasonal decor!

I bought the large wood & glass cloche and the most adorable mini potted orchids for spring this year, and I love them. I’ll get a closer photo when I do my spring home tour on Monday.

In just a couple of weeks I’ll be recreating most of this look to host supper club at my house. Don’t forget to send me your favorite recipes for hosting large groups! I need to start planning that menu!
