Here are my favorite spring decorating ideas to freshen up your home for warmer months! From art and blankets to wreaths and table decor, I've covered it all!
The weather is warming up and the days are getting longer (yay!!), so it's time to scatter some spring decor around the house!
It's been a while since I shared my spring home decor. I don't go all out on my fireplace mantel the way I used to, but I still like adding pretty touches here and there. Let's take a look!
The Best Spring Decorating Ideas
1. Dress up the Mantel
Whether or not a TV hangs above the mantel, you can add spring touches to that space. If you have a Frame TV like mine, it's fun to swap the art for something more springlike.

Add a matching pair of boxwood topiaries or some pretty faux spring stems in a vase. This year I bought blue and white ginger jars and added a pair of double boxwood topiaries.
Side note: I knew I wanted blue and white vessels with boxwood topiaries, but I couldn't find exactly what I had in mind, so I made it myself! I cut the boxwood topiaries out of the containers they came in and used floral foam in the ginger jars to keep them upright.
If you don't have a TV over your mantel, you can choose a big focal piece and layer in other spring decor, as I did when I shared how to decorate a mantel for spring.

2. Change out the Front Door Wreath
The front door is an obvious place to add a splash of color and charm. I have a simple spring wreath I made years ago, and I still hang it on the front door every spring. I love how the pink stands out against the black door. It makes the front porch feel so much more cheerful.

I also swap the faux greenery topiaries that flank my front door. In fall and winter I use cypress topiaries, and in spring and summer I switch to brighter green jasper topiaries.

3. Add a Light and Airy Throw Blanket to the Back of the Sofa
If your sofa sits in the middle of a room, draping a colorful blanket over the back is a great way to add interest and color. I don't love seeing the back of the sofa from the front door, so I dress it up with a pretty throw.

I think the pink windowpane blanket is soft and pretty, and it gives the room a focal point besides the back of my couch. (Never mind the back corner of the sofa that needs steaming.)

4. Change Out Your Art
I've always been a fan of switching art with the seasons. It's an easy way to decorate for spring, and it works on any budget. From free printable art to swapping out canvases, it's a fun way to celebrate warmer months!

I replaced my winter canvas with this "Follow Me" canvas in the pass-through to the living room. I'd wanted it for this spot for a long time, so I'm really glad I finally got it! I framed the canvas myself after last year's spring home tour, along with our Frame TV.

In the doorway from the kitchen to the living room, I have these inexpensive frames filled with printable art. I switch them out with every season, always!
I originally bought these art prints as digital printables, but now they're only sold as shipped prints:
- Bunny Print
- Floral Print
- Country Landscape
5. Add A Floral Arrangement or Faux Stems
Bring spring into your home with real or faux plants and flowers. I keep a stash of spring faux stems that I reuse every year, but it's also fun to pick up a fresh bouquet!

You can easily add faux or fresh flowers throughout your home: on a nightstand, a coffee table, a side buffet, the kitchen table, or the mantel. There are endless places to try them!
I've had these faux dogwood stems for years, and I love bringing them out each spring. The console table behind the sofa is the perfect landing spot in this house!

6. Add Greenery to the Coffee Table (or any surface!)
It may seem obvious, but spring calls for greenery! I love adding a few stems to a vase or setting a potted plant on the coffee table.

7. Bring in Color for Spring Decorating Ideas
To me, blush, light blue, and green are the colors of spring. So look for ways to bring them in through fabrics, flowers, and art!

8. Create a Beautiful Table
Nothing is cuter for spring than a bunny plate, pink glasses, or a faux bird's nest in the middle of each plate. Even if you don't want to overhaul your dinnerware collection, a charming little accent bowl is a perfect touch!

The dining room doesn't have to look like Easter bunnies and birds have moved in. A few simple touches of spring are plenty!
9. Add Texture with Natural or Woven Materials
Rattan and seagrass are staples in my home all year round, but it's always fun to bring out more woven baskets, vases, and other decor in spring. Light wood tones make everything feel more like spring!
