Welcome to my Fall Home Tour!
Yesterday the humidity finally dropped and the high was only 79. It was glorious! We even wore sweaters, jackets and boots when we went out to dinner last night. A break from the heat at long last … so I celebrated by buying some mums.

Ahhh … Fall, you’re finally here.
I love Fall, as you all know, so I’m thrilled this morning (except maybe for the fact that my little one woke up in the 6 o’clock hour).

I could have been cool like all the other bloggers and snapped a picture of myself opening the door in my fall finest. But I pretty much decorate and take photos in my sweats with my hair in a ponytail.

If you saw my fall mantel already, you know this, but for anyone who missed it: I’m six months pregnant, so my decorating is a bit less elaborate than last year. I’m trying to add little touches of fall to what I already have.

Rather than packing away all my turquoise decor this year, I’m simply adding oranges (plus some yellows and reds) to the mix. And I love it! I think it’s part of figuring out my own style and staying true to it all year. I don’t have to completely redo the house for every season.

I did buy a few new things this year, like this gorgeous blue pumpkin watercolor from Lucy at Craftberry Bush. It blends so well with my blue decor palette. (I have another one on my mantel.)

OK, I’ll hush and let you enjoy the rest of the tour without me chattering on.

I spent last weekend in the Smoky Mountains (God’s country) with a group of ladies, and we made these mason jar ring pumpkins. I LOVE them! Here’s a tutorial: Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin

I love this vintage autumn tablecloth I picked up at a yard sale last year. This dresser is sitting in the living room while we rearrange furniture for our baby girl, so I draped the tablecloth over it. I plan to cut it up and maybe turn some of it into embroidery hoop art. We’ll see!

Before you think my home looks like this all the time, Miss A (who is 3 and a half) walked in from preschool one morning after I had been cleaning and decorating and said, “Oh mama! You cleaned up for me! I love it!!”
Yes, toys are usually strewn across the floor, along with some sort of dollhouse and baby doll setup. But I didn’t think you’d want to see that. You can probably picture something similar at your house. *wink* And if not, then I’m completely jealous!
