Over the years this sale has helped me pick up some solid staples for my home and my wardrobe. So I thought I'd share the purchases I've kept coming back to that are on sale again this year! In the past I'd order a huge pile of things, try everything on and write about it. This time I wanted to share only the very best of the best.
As an "Influencer" card holder, I can shop the sale on July 16. Public access for shoppers without a Nordstrom card opens July 28.

V-Neck Sweater – This is the V-neck take on the crew neck sweater I picked up last year. I liked it so much that I bought three colors, and they are hands down my all-time favorite sweaters! Of course a V-neck version was headed straight to my cart.
Sweater Cardigan – This cozy, dreamy cardigan has been a constant in my wardrobe for several years now. It's my go-to for lounging at home or heading out in leggings!
Scoop Neck T-shirt – I own this lightweight tee with a pocket in three colors too. It's perfect for layering under jackets or wearing on its own!
Plush Throw Blanket – I gave this to so many people last Christmas, and it has become a favorite cozy blanket among my family and friends!
Boyfriend Jeans – These stretchy jeans are so comfortable that I wear them all year long! I loved them so much that I bought a couple of pairs of the shorts as well!
Silk Scrunchies – These are a nightly habit for me! I pull my hair into a ponytail with them every night to keep it fresh so I don't have to wash it as often. They barely leave a crease in my hair!
Cross-Body Bag – I own this bag in leather and want this color too. It's the perfect size for carrying the essentials across the body.
Short Hunter Boots – I wear these all the time in fall, winter and spring here in the South when it's really rainy. I love them! They're easy to slip on and don't make my feet hot.
T3 Flat Iron – I've owned my T3 flat iron for three years, and I still love it as much as the day I bought it!
Brow Wiz + Brow Gel – I've been using these brow products for years and I'm still a fan!
Gummy Hair Vitamins – These are the best hair gummy vitamins I've ever tried!
Wedge Sandal – I bought these last year in mushroom suede, and they've seen so much wear. They move easily from summer to fall and from spring to summer. They're really comfortable too!
This sale has become one of my favorites because I keep finding great deals on the staples that end up in my closet. Nearly all of my favorite sweaters over the years came from this event, so I really think it's a great sale to shop! Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
- Set a Budget. It would be easy to get swept up in the excitement and splurge on everything. Pick a limit and stick to it.
- Start by going through your fall and winter wardrobe to spot the gaps. Do you need a new pair of jeans, booties or a sweater? Did you forget you already own five cardigans? Looking at everything first helps you avoid overspending.
- Shop early on the first day of the sale and place your order online. If you aren't sure about sizing, order two and send back the one that doesn't fit. Nordstrom has the BEST return policy out there. It's free and simple!
- If you use the Nordstrom card, be sure to choose it as your double points day so you earn 2x points on your purchases early.

Why I Love Shopping the #NSale
I didn't start shopping at Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale until 2017, after hearing about it from every blogger and Instagrammer around. What was all the fuss about? I bought a few things, including my favorite winter cardigan, and I was won over by the deep discounts on newly released clothes.
Since I do about 95% of my shopping online, I absolutely love their free shipping and free returns. It's so easy to try clothes on at home and send back what doesn't work. Tip: I often order two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit. The closest store is two hours from me, so I'm limited to online shopping unless I'm in Nashville or Atlanta. So I love shopping Nordstrom.
In 2018, I went all in. I got the credit card so I could shop the early access sale. I bought my first pair of Madewell jeans four years ago, and I've since added six more pairs. Yes, they are THAT good.
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Put simply, it's THE clothing and beauty sale event of the year. It's Nordstrom's biggest sale, featuring new fall styles, accessories and shoes, plus some beauty and home deals. These must-have fall and winter staples hit their lowest prices of the year, so it's a great time to buy ahead of the season.
Once the sale ends, nearly everything goes back up to full price.
The sale opens first to cardholders before Public Access begins on July 28, 2021. In past years, many of the hottest items sold out on the first day of the cardholder sale. If you've had your eye on a popular piece and want to be sure you get it, a Nordstrom Card may be worth it, since the best items can sell out before Public Access starts on July 28th.
Note: I don't necessarily recommend the credit card if you'd buy things you wouldn't normally buy or can't pay off right away. Know yourself, and don't go into debt for a pair of jeans. But if you can show self-control and not overspend, it's a great way to score good deals before they sell out.
