October now brings its own shopping event, sitting between Amazon's summer Prime Days and the November Black Friday rush, with Target Circle Week running alongside it. I can still recall thinking this seemed way too early for Black Friday-style savings.
But honestly, it's so smart! I love starting holiday shopping early and getting as much of it wrapped as possible. I've already been buying gifts for my girls and my nieces and nephews.
Spreading out the buying over several months is really nice for the budget, too!
So I've gathered some of my favorite deals from the top retailers taking part this week. I hope they help you save money and get a head start on gifts (for yourself or others)!
You'll need an Amazon Prime membership to take part in these deals, but that's true of most of their sales. I've had a membership for years, and it more than pays for itself with fast free shipping, music and streaming services.
Tips for Shopping the BIG Deal Days:
Here's the thing. If you've been eyeing something, now's the time to check whether it's on sale. And if you buy something regularly, check whether it's included in the sale. This is a great time to stock up on everyday essentials!
1. Buy Your Essentials Again
Go to your "buy again" section of your Amazon Prime account and see which things you've already bought and loved are on sale. Here's mine. My dog treats and skincare products are on sale! Now's the time to stock up at a lower price.
See the "deals" filter on the left side of the image above? Select it, and it will filter out anything NOT on sale!
2. Use the "Save for Later" Section in Your Cart
As I shop and search for items throughout the year, I'll spot something I want but may not fit the budget right now. So I add it to my cart, then tap the "save it for later" button. All of those items are saved for me, and I get alerts when they go on sale.
Then, on Prime Day or a Big Deal Day, I head to my shopping cart and scroll down to the "save for later" section. Take the time to browse those items during any deal days!

Walmart + Deals
Walmart is also joining the sales this week! You do have to join Walmart+ to access them. I'm a Walmart+ member because I live very close to a Super Walmart and do almost all of my grocery shopping there. I get free pickup, free delivery on certain items and 5 cents off gas, so it's well worth it for me.
