Candlelight at Christmas is so lovely. Nothing compares to sitting in a room with every light off except the tree or the glowing garland.
After all the rushing to get ready for Christmas, this quiet moment is so cathartic for me. It reminds me of the season’s peace and to pause and soak it all in.

I loved the challenge of decorating my home for Christmas using only twinkle lights and candles. It’s a lovely way to wrap up the holiday posts, since you can grab a warm drink and enjoy every home on the tour! We’ll be sharing them all week.
I’ll hush now and let you enjoy the rest of the tour in peace and quiet.

I love displaying my nativity scene in the entryway where everyone can see it. It holds a special place for me since it’s the heart of the whole season. But I have a problem… my 2-year-old would smash every figurine to tiny bits in seconds.

This year I found a way to display it at the front of our home where she can’t quite reach. I set everything up on a box and placed the garland in front. So far, so good. She just wanders over, points, and says “Baby Jesus” in her sweet little 2-year-old voice. I also bought her own set (found here) so she has one to play with, so I’m not a total meanie mommy.

My “O Holy Night” sign proudly hangs under my gallery wall, and I’ll probably keep putting it right here every year until I totally change this space. It fits perfectly and I love it! It’s one of my all-time favorite DIY projects.

My new artwork in this corner really reflects my approach to Christmas decorating, which is to plan ahead for winter. This charming snow scene with a red barn will look gorgeous on my wall until March rolls around, don’t you think? See the artwork here.

The turquoise baby Jesus ornament is my newest favorite, found at a local shop here in town. I tracked it down online for you, and as I’m typing this it’s 51% off!! Woohoo! Click here to get your own turquoise nativity ornament.

Thank you so much for touring my Christmas Nights Home. I really enjoyed showing you around! SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave
