I hope you enjoy this charming Summer Bucket List printable for planning a fun, relaxed, and purposeful summer!
Hi there! School is finally out where I live, and the pool has opened, so it's SUMMER no matter what the calendar says. Hooray! We've already spent time at the pool, started eating dinner later, and settled into lazy days!

I always feel giddy at the start of summer because Coach (my husband, who teaches and, of course, coaches) is home for the next two months, and we have a wonderful neighborhood pool!
I'm so thankful we moved to this neighborhood four years ago, since the amenities are wonderful. In summer it feels like we're on vacation the whole time. Not that I'm bragging or anything.

Even though my husband is off, I still work during the summer, though on a lighter schedule, so it isn't all fun and games. I say that so you won't be too jealous. Ha!
Here's the thing, though. I both love and dread summer. I'm a schedule person and I do best when I have a plan and some structure. Living this season as a work-from-home mom with a teacher husband home all summer has taught me to get more ready each year.

We used to try to squeeze a lot into these few short months, and we'd end up frustrated and worn out instead of rested and ready for the next school year. The truth is our summers are very short, so we have to be selective about what we commit to. Our June is already booked, and so is most of July.
What keeps us from feeling frazzled by the end of summer is having a plan!
So I asked my family what they wanted, and together we put together a bucket list for this summer. It's short, purposeful, and not overwhelming.
Here is our Summer Bucket List:
- make sandcastles
- collect seashells at the beach (can you guess where our summer vacation is headed? I'm so excited!)
- churn homemade ice cream
- play Marco Pollo at the pool
- draw with sidewalk chalk
- try fishing
- catch a movie (or three!)
- see the fireworks!
- try roller skating
- play mini golf
While brainstorming, I designed a charming printable so that you can make your own summer bucket list too!
Have fun!
