Living Room & Entry Way Paint Color – Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore

The walls in our living room and entry way are painted Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. These spaces are the most prominent in the house, so the color needed to be versatile and welcoming. The living room uses two tones with board and batten trim; the gray you see on the main walls is Revere Pewter and the trim is Simply White by Benjamin Moore.

Revere Pewter is a wonderful transitional neutral with both warm and cool undertones. It goes with almost everything! | The Paint Colors in My Home

Revere Pewter is one of the most popular neutrals for good reason. It’s a transitional taupe-gray that doesn’t pull strongly toward blue or green, which makes it easy to pair with both warm and cool accents. If you want other neutral gray options, consider Repose Gray or Mindful Gray from Sherwin-Williams, or Edgecomb Gray from Benjamin Moore.

Dining Room Paint Color – Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore

Wythe Blue is a gorgeous wall color for any space in the home! Choose your favorite color for your first pop of color in your Whole Home Color Palette. It won't be hard to incorporate it in every room!

I painted the dining room Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore. I chose this sophisticated blue-green early on after falling in love with a particular shade I saw used on a front door. Wythe Blue sits just left of the entry, so guests see it as they arrive — it complements Revere Pewter nicely and adds a calm, elegant pop of color.

Kitchen Paint Color – Sea Salt by Sherwin-Williams

The kitchen originally had a darker blue-green called Stratton Blue, chosen to break up an otherwise beige palette. A few years later I painted the cabinets Simply White (Benjamin Moore) and found the wall color too heavy next to the bright cabinets. I sampled a couple of shades and ultimately chose Sea Salt by Sherwin-Williams. It’s a soft, muted greenish-blue that feels fresh and pairs beautifully with the Revere Pewter in the adjoining rooms.

Master Bedroom Paint Color – Palmetto Gray by Porter Paint

Our master bedroom is painted Palmetto Gray by Porter Paints. This muted gray-blue-green was one of the first projects we tackled and remains a favorite. It’s softer and more restrained than a robin’s egg blue and reads slightly more muted in person, with a touch of green-gray. Note: the specific Porter shade has been discontinued in some places; Restoration Hardware’s Silver Sage is a similar alternative.

Nursery Paint Color – Lido Green by Benjamin Moore

Our baby girl’s nursery is Lido Green by Benjamin Moore. I chose the palette around a piece of nursery art and tested a few samples before settling on this shade. Lido Green reads greener than the mint or aqua tones found elsewhere in the house and feels bright, cheerful, and perfect for a child’s room.

Girl’s Room Paint Color – Cream Puff by Benjamin Moore

My older daughter’s bedroom is painted Cream Puff by Benjamin Moore. It’s a soft, pale pink that’s sweet without feeling overly sugary. The room’s décor has changed over the years, but the wall color has stayed because we both still love it.

Guest Bathroom Paint Color – Oyster Pearl from Clark+Kensington

The guest bathroom is painted Oyster Pearl from Clark+Kensington. It’s a pleasant gray, though the surrounding gray cabinetry and hallway make the room feel a bit muted. I’m considering changing it to Sea Salt to brighten the space and create a lighter, fresher feel.

Office & Guest Room Paint Color – Simply White by Benjamin Moore

My office and guest room walls are Simply White by Benjamin Moore. It’s a warm, creamy white that doesn’t read yellow and creates a clean backdrop for colorful artwork and accessories. It’s also a dependable choice for spaces where you want photos and décor to stand out.

Laundry Room Paint Color – Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore (tweaked)

Our walk-through laundry room is also our main access to the garage, so I wanted it to feel bright even though it lacks natural light. I mixed leftover Wythe Blue with white to create a lighter version for this space; the closest standard match is Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore. The softer shade keeps the room cheerful as I pass through many times each day.

Final Thoughts

Thanks for reading through this long list of paint colors. Choosing wall colors that work well together makes a home feel cohesive, and you’ll notice many of the hues I use lean toward soft blues and grays with a single pink accent.

A designer once advised that if you find a color you love, it’s okay to use variations of it throughout the house. I took that to heart and have used coordinated shades to create flow between rooms. If you try one of these colors, I’d love to see a photo of the finished space.
