What a week it has been. We enjoyed a few precious days in Nashville with family, celebrating Christmas with my parents, my brothers and their spouses, and all of our kids. Those moments felt restorative and full of love.
Then, on Monday, we learned my grandmother had passed away. She had battled dementia for several years, so her death was not entirely unexpected, but it was still deeply sad when the moment arrived. After a week of travel and family gatherings, we buried her yesterday. The week was heavy with grief, but it was also filled with meaningful time together. I am grateful she is no longer suffering and that we were able to surround one another during this difficult time.

Somewhere in the middle of everything, we welcomed the New Year. It has been a whirlwind of emotion and travel, and I’m slowly getting back into routines at home. My holiday decor is still up for now, but I plan to start taking it down soon.
