Hi friends! It's been a while, hasn't it?
You may have noticed things have been a bit quieter around here. Or maybe not, since you have a full life and plenty of other things to keep you busy besides this blog. But let's pretend you did notice.
You may have heard me say how sluggish I've been and how little drive I've had for anything on my project list. Well, I'm about to share a little secret that I can't hold onto any longer.
Coach and I are expecting our second baby!! WOOHOO!

In my book, it's the best reason to feel lazy and unmotivated. I could honestly have said nauseous and exhausted instead. But that would have given too much away, and I wasn't quite ready to spill the beans yet.
If you've been reading for a while, you know Coach and I spent two years trying for a second child. I wrote about it in this post a few months back. The road to this point hasn't been easy. Still, I firmly believe everything unfolds in God's perfect timing, so I've had to learn to trust the perfect Planner.

In that post I opened up about the heartbreak of losing two babies to miscarriage, but I wrote it before I learned an important lesson. While we were trying for a second child, my focus was entirely on baby, baby, baby. I wanted another so badly it was almost unbearable. Then one day God gently reminded me, "I give good gifts that don't always arrive as children." That was a huge lesson for me. I had convinced myself this was the only good gift worth receiving, all while blessing after blessing surrounded me.
So right now I'm grateful for every blessing, including the little one growing inside me. I'm also enjoying blessings like long daily naps and eating just enough to stay out of nausea's way without overdoing it. {Bring on the second trimester!! Only a few more weeks!} And I'm truly enjoying the blessing of this parking space ...

I'm hoping to find the energy for some projects soon!
