If your printer options include “fit to page,” that may add unintended borders or resize the image slightly, so avoid that when possible.

Make sure your printer settings are set for high-quality photo or color printing to preserve the image details and color saturation. If you prefer a professional finish, a local print shop can offer options like heavier paper stocks, matte or gloss finishes, and precise trimming.
A small paper trimmer or guillotine cutter is handy to achieve clean, straight edges. If you don’t have one, a sharp craft knife and a metal ruler work well on a cutting mat. For framing, measure the visible area of the frame and trim slightly smaller if the frame’s mat will cover the edges.
