I haven’t usually created a full, elaborate Thanksgiving tablescape at my own house—most years I decorate my mom’s table. This year I wanted to try something fresh: turquoise glassware mixed with fall tones and a few rustic elements.

The floral arrangements are a quick way to update the table. I picked up flowers locally and arranged them in mason jars to keep things casual and budget-friendly.
My favorite detail is the turquoise goblets—so pretty and unique. They add an unexpected, elegant touch. I found similar pieces in a new dinnerware collection and loved how the color contrasts with traditional pumpkins and warm tones.

Another favorite are the chunky white, distressed candle holders. Their weathered finish brings a cozy, farmhouse feel and pairs well with the brighter accents on the table.

I stumbled across the candle holders while shopping for other projects and instantly knew they would fit this tablescape. Their scale works well with the burlap runner and the mason jar accents.

For candle holders and vases, mason jars are versatile and inexpensive. I used Epsom salts in the jars to anchor tapered candles, and the same jars doubled as vases for small flower bunches.

My everyday white dishes are an uncomplicated, beaded-edge set that complements the colorful glassware without competing with it. Using neutral plates keeps the focus on the bright goblets and pumpkin accents.

I used a mix of small painted pumpkins—blue-green and white—that I picked up earlier in the season. Their color ties everything together and reinforces the turquoise theme.
The burlap runner is a staple I keep on the table year-round. It adds texture and a grounded base for the layered pieces without being fussy.

When guests actually sit down to eat, remove or lower any tall centerpieces that block views across the table. If space for dishes is limited, serve buffet-style from the kitchen—it’s often the easiest option and keeps the tabletop tidy.

I designed leaf-print conversation starters with questions meant to spark meaningful, lighthearted discussion—questions like “What’s your most memorable holiday moment?” or “How can you give back this season?” They keep the focus on gratitude and connection.
Update: the printable conversation starters are available—use them at your table to kick off lively, heartfelt conversations during your meal.
