Fall Pumpkin Decor Ideas for Your Kitchen

Sweet Fall-elujah! It’s pumpkin season, and I’m thrilled to share my kitchen decorated for autumn. I may have gone a little pumpkin-crazy, but I couldn’t help myself — they make the space feel cozy and festive. 🎃

Kitchen Fall Home Tour at The Turquoise Home

Welcome to my fall kitchen, styled like a little pumpkin patch. Crisp air, cozy sweaters and football season set the mood for decorating, and I wanted the kitchen to reflect that warm, seasonal feeling. Pumpkins, soft textures and natural accents bring the space to life.

Cascading pumpkins in the kitchen!

For this space I imagined open shelves as a tiny pumpkin patch. I clustered pumpkins in groups, letting some appear to spill out of baskets and crates to create movement and a playful, layered look. A “Pumpkin Patch” pillow adds a touch of whimsy and reinforces the theme.

One accent I love on the shelves is a cathedral-style window frame. I usually display it on the white side, but when I recently took it down I noticed the stained back and decided to show it here. The darker tone added depth and complemented the fall palette beautifully.

I arranged pumpkins near a tobacco basket so they look like they are spilling out — a simple styling trick that amplifies the pumpkin-patch effect. Mixing real and faux pumpkins, plus varying sizes and textures, helps the display feel curated and natural.

Fall Eat-in Kitchen with Farmhouse Decor

For the eat-in table I used a wooden box centerpiece (DIY) and filled it with lamb’s ear, wooden pumpkins and twig accents. The mix of soft greenery and rustic elements keeps the centerpiece simple but seasonal — perfect for everyday family meals or a relaxed fall gathering.

My favorite wooden pumpkin sitting in a bed of lamb's ear leaves. Perfect for a fall centerpiece!

New bamboo shades in the eat-in kitchen have become one of my favorite updates. The jute-wheat tone gives a subtle coastal nod while blending seamlessly with fall colors — warm neutrals pair well with pumpkins and aged wood for a cozy, layered look.

I also love layering textiles and small accents: striped blue-and-cream curtains add pattern, and a hanging Fintorp rail anchors the space while keeping frequently used tools within reach. A pumpkin tucked into a colander and a pumpkin-and-magnolia wreath bring charm and seasonal texture.

A playful chalkboard with a fall bucket list felt like the perfect finishing touch. I wrote “Sweet Fall-elujah” because I loved the clever play on words when I first saw “fall-elujah” on a doormat — it seemed like the perfect cheerful greeting for the season.

Hallelujah for cooler weather, pumpkin outings and football days! Decorating your kitchen for fall doesn’t have to be complicated — focus on a few meaningful pieces, mix textures, and repeat colors for cohesion. Small changes like a wreath, candles, textiles and a few pumpkins can transform the room.
