If you follow current interior design trends, you’ve probably noticed landscape prints everywhere right now. The muted blues and greens, the softly worn vintage textures, often shown without a mat and finished in a slim brass frame — they’re everywhere and they look stunning.
The look is simple: calming landscape compositions in blues and greens, minimal or no mat, and a warm brass frame. The challenge is that some of the nicest pieces sell for hundreds — even over a thousand dollars — which isn’t practical for every home or budget.
Below I share the pieces I love, a budget-friendly printable option that captures the same vintage vibe, and where I found an inexpensive brass frame to finish the look.

The Splurge: Landscape Art I Love
If you managed to grab some of the Studio McGee x Target prints when they launched, you likely got a great deal. Otherwise, original pieces in this style often retail in the $100–$300 range and can climb much higher for limited editions or gallery-quality prints.
I don’t mind splurging for art I truly love, but I always enjoy hunting for budget-friendly alternatives that deliver the same visual impact.
While browsing for affordable options, I discovered an Etsy shop selling printable vintage landscape files. Many of the downloads look like scanned originals — complete with subtle cracks and aged texture — giving them an authentic, timeworn character in digital form. When printed on a quality paper, they read like real vintage finds.
The Save: Printable “Vintage” Landscape Art
I selected three prints with a similar color palette and mood, then printed them as 8x10s. The worn textures in the digital files make them read as authentic vintage pieces once framed. For flexibility, sellers often include different file sizes or allow custom sizing, which is perfect if you want to use a mat or skip it for a larger visible image.
The Hunt: Cheap Brass Frame
A slim brass frame is a key element of the look. While true vintage frames can be pricey or hard to find, there are plenty of affordable modern frames with a warm metallic finish that achieve the same effect. Framing with a mat will make a smaller print feel more substantial, while skipping the mat lets the image fill the opening for a bolder, contemporary look.
I found simple brass-finish frames for about $6 each (with a discount applied), which made it easy to frame three prints for a total cost that’s far below what I’d have paid for original gallery pieces. Even with modest printing and framing costs, the total was under $40 for the trio — a great bargain for artwork that transforms a space.
I hung the three framed prints in a small corner of my living room. The trio adds just the right amount of personality without overwhelming the space. They sit on a deep navy wall, which makes the softer blues and greens in the prints pop.
One of the best benefits of printable art is how easy it is to swap seasonally. I swapped the top and bottom prints for wintry scenes at the holidays and later replaced them with summery ocean prints to change the mood. Many sellers also offer digital files sized for TV art displays, which is convenient if you use a display like the Frame TV.
Whether you splurge on a statement piece or assemble an affordable trio with printable art and budget frames, landscape prints are a simple way to bring calm, color, and vintage charm into your home. Mixing framed prints in different arrangements—grouped, stacked, or scattered—lets you tailor the look to your space.
