Our holiday was full of family, great food, fireworks, and a surprising amount of mahjong — one of our favorite ways to spend time together. We managed to fit in several games and lots of conversation, which made the long weekend feel especially restful and fun.
This week marks the end of summer swim team, a milestone that always signals the gentle shift toward a new season. Even though school is still a few weeks off, I’m already thinking about back-to-school shopping and planning. Starting early usually makes the final weeks of summer much more relaxed.
Also on my radar: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s a great opportunity to pick up fall wardrobe essentials, shoes, and beauty items before regular prices return — perfect for building a versatile seasonal wardrobe at a discount.
