I love fall—don’t you? It’s a cozy season of hand-picked pumpkins and apples, roasting marshmallows over the fire, hayrides, hot chocolate with friends, and the pleasure of curling up in soft sweaters. Decorating for autumn is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the season, and free printables are an easy, budget-friendly way to add rustic charm and seasonal color to any room.

Tips for Using Free Printables
- Home Printer: I use an inkjet printer at home, but a laser printer will usually produce cleaner, crisper images. If you’ll be printing many designs, consider asking a local print shop for large-format or higher-quality prints.
- Choose quality paper: Thick cardstock gives the best results for framed art. A smooth, bright white cardstock will make colors pop and look more professional.
- Alternative printing options: If you don’t have a printer, office supply stores like Staples or Office Depot can print files for you on a higher-quality printer.
- Display ideas: Use simple frames, clipboards, or wooden art hangers to switch out seasonal art quickly without damaging walls. A thrifted frame with a fresh coat of paint also looks great.
- Sizing: Most of my printables are set to print at 8.5×11 with a small margin for framing. If a design is slightly larger than your frame, trim the edges or adjust the print scale in your printer settings to fit an 8×10 opening.
- Printer settings vary: Because every printer and computer combination is different, I can’t offer printer-specific troubleshooting, but experimenting with scale and “fit to page” settings usually helps.
