Find inspiration with this charming spring chalkboard art to celebrate the season! It’s simple, sweet, and easy to recreate.
Spring is almost here, and I couldn’t be more delighted. The change of season always feels like a fresh start — a chance to leave the long, chilly winter behind and welcome warmer days and new beginnings.

I used to tell people autumn was my favorite season, but when I think about what truly lifts my spirits, it’s spring. The season brings color back into the world, encourages time outdoors, and reminds me that brighter, warmer days are ahead.

Spring also happens to be my birthday season, which makes it even more special. I’m grateful for another year and for the chance to celebrate amid blooming flowers and warmer evenings. I like to keep the spirit light and fun—maybe staying “29 and holding” for a little longer!
For a little seasonal cheer, I refreshed my kitchen chalkboard with a spring-inspired design. Previously I mostly used the board for brief messages, simple greetings, or short Bible verses. This time I wanted something pretty and distinctly spring-like—gentle lettering, pastel accents, and floral touches.
If you’ve ever considered making a large chalkboard for your home, it’s a rewarding DIY project—perfect for rotating seasonal artwork and family notes.

When planning the chalkboard design, I looked around for inspiration and found a lovely printable that helped guide the layout and color choices. My aim was to capture the fresh, optimistic feeling of spring without overcomplicating the design.
As the days warm up, here are the small pleasures I’m most excited about this spring:

– Wearing flip-flops again. I love the ease and comfort of warm-weather footwear and the simple freedom they represent.
– Watching cherry blossoms and other trees bud and bloom. There’s nothing quite like the first hint of pink and green after a stark winter.
– Bringing turquoise and pink into my decor once more. These colors feel lively, cheerful, and wonderfully spring-appropriate.
– Spending more time outdoors with my daughter—playing, exploring, and soaking up sunshine together.
– Getting closer to pool days and beach trips. I look forward to sand between my toes, long swims, and relaxed afternoons by the water.
– Opening windows to let fresh air circulate through the house, letting winter’s heaviness lift and allowing natural breezes to refresh each room.
– The sense of accomplishment that comes after spring cleaning: not necessarily the cleaning itself, but the bright, calm feeling of a tidy home.
– Longer days filled with natural light, evening walks around the neighborhood, and the gentle rhythm of spring evenings.

What are you most looking forward to this spring? Whether it’s fresh flowers, outdoor adventures, or simple moments of calm, I hope the season brings you renewal and joy.
