Looking to treat someone to something extra special? Try one of these splurge-worthy gift ideas!

Do you ever want to spoil yourself or someone else with an expensive gift at Christmas? My husband and I usually use Christmas to give ourselves a luxury item. In the past that's been a Frame TV, an Apple Watch, or a Solo Stove.

So I've gathered some of our favorite "expensive Christmas gifts" we've given ourselves over the years, in case you want to use this season as an excuse to buy something for yourself, too!

Note: Expensive is a relative term, of course. Some of these items have been a splurge for us, while at times we could never have afforded them. Others may consider them everyday items.

Splurge-Worthy Gifts to Spoil Yourself or Others this Christmas

Honestly, at our age, if we really need something, we just go out and buy it. So the days of "asking" for small items are pretty much over. I realize not everyone has the same budget, so luxury items will vary by household. Some of these will seem like a normal purchase to some, while for others they'll be way out of budget. I get it!

1. Solo Stove

My husband had wanted this portable (although large) fire pit for a couple of years, and we splurged on it in 2019! It's so good and smokeless (if you follow the directions and get a good fire going). We love it for backyard s'mores with our girls and friends. We have the largest size, the Bonfire, and I love that I don't smell like smoke after enjoying it!

2. Frame TV

We love. Love. LOVE. our Samsung Frame TV. It's one of our favorite purchases ever, and I shared my full Frame TV review here.

3. Apple Watch

I know these have been the norm for a while, but I finally bought myself an Apple Watch in 2020, and my husband gave it to me for Christmas. We bought my husband's watch a couple of years ago on Black Friday as his big Christmas gift. We love them!

4. Leather Riding Boots

My mother-in-law gifted me these riding boots several years ago, and I wear them constantly in fall and winter. They never go on sale, so go ahead and get them now! I love that they come in a wide-calf option, too!

5. Apple Air Pods Pro

I've had the regular AirPods for years and use them daily. They're definitely a want, not a need, but gosh, they're so handy and good! I've been eyeing the AirPods Pro for a couple of years now and plan to upgrade soon!

6. Le Creuset Dutch Oven

This high-end Dutch oven was on my wish list for years. I got it in 2020 and have loved it!! I've heard nothing but wonderful reviews about Le Creuset kitchen tools, and they're just so beautiful, too! I'm also in LOVE with the gold handle you can swap in for the one that comes with it.

7. Dyson Stick Vacuum

I know these Dyson stick vacuums are pricey, but I've had mine for 3 years and it's the BEST gift I ever gave myself. I use it every day for all kinds of vacuuming jobs, and it's still going strong. LOVE it!

8. Hand Soap & Lotion Set

I recently splurged on a gorgeously yummy soap and lotion set in a marble tray. It feels so luxurious to upgrade an everyday routine like washing your hands!

9. Luxury Skin Care

This Elemis moisturizer is some boujee stuff, and I love it! Every so often I'll buy the gift size when it's on sale and use it sparingly. This would be an awesome way to treat yourself or someone you love.

10. Ugg Slippers

These aren't really much of a splurge because they last so long! I just replace the soles with these shearling replacements, and they keep trucking. Find the men's slippers here and the women's slippers here.

11. Coffee and Espresso Machine

If you want to recreate your coffee shop drinks at home, try this amazing coffee and espresso machine for all your coffee needs: shots of espresso, long coffee, drip coffee, and milk-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. It can also make iced coffee drinks that aren't watered down!

12. Tory Burch Cross-body Bag

I've never owned a Tory Burch bag. I'm kind of a one-bag woman and use it until the wheels fall off. But if I were to buy a nice bag, I'd choose one like this! I've heard great reviews, of course.

13. Diamond Bracelet

Diamonds are always a good idea! I love that this dainty diamond bracelet can be worn every day or stacked with other small bracelets for a more impactful look.

14. Kamado Joe Grill

My husband LOVES this grill. It's quite a splurge, but the meat that comes off this smoker is divine! He pretty much only uses this grill now, even though he still has his gas grill.
