A creamy, citrusy dip that tastes like summer—this four-ingredient Orange Creamsicle Fruit Dip mixes smooth cream cheese, powdered sugar, whipped topping and bright orange flavor for an easy dessert or snack. Whip it together in minutes and chill before serving for the best texture.

Ingredients

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/3 cup powdered sugar
• 4 oz whipped topping, thawed (or equivalent whipped cream)
• 3 drops orange essential oil (such as Orange Vitality™) — or substitute 1 teaspoon orange extract

If you prefer not to use essential oils, replace them with 1 teaspoon of orange extract or the zest of half an orange for natural flavor.

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar.
2. Beat with a mixer until the mixture is smooth and fluffy, scraping the bowl as needed.
3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping (or whipped cream) until evenly combined and light in texture.
4. Add the orange essential oil or orange extract and fold briefly to distribute the flavor evenly.
5. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld and the dip firm up slightly.
6. Serve chilled with fresh fruit, graham crackers, or your preferred dippers.

Tips and Variations

– For a more natural orange flavor, fold in the zest of one small orange in place of—or in addition to—extract. Zest adds bright citrus oils and texture.

– If you’d like a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and a light whipped topping, but texture and richness will be slightly different.

– To make the dip in advance: prepare it up to 24 hours ahead, keep it covered in the refrigerator, and give it a quick stir before serving. The dip will thicken as it chills; if it becomes too firm, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes and stir to soften.

Storage
